What happened today? Well the comedian was trying to make some toast today and put the toaster on the stovetop (accidentally bumping the "on" nob) and the toaster started melting, smoking; I thought there was going to be a fire. But alas, we got it all under control, the house was quite smelly for a while though. No harm done--its just that the toaster is toast!
Starshine did "school" all day today; he kept asking what else Mr. Mars wanted him to do while he was gone today; so I kept giving him jobs, and worksheets, books on tape....he was sooo busy. He also watched a video about strangers---it was meant for firecracker, but he thought it was the greatest thing ever.
Dog lover came home from school today talking about how things like "power rangers" and "harry potter" are not good to watch. He said he dosnt like watching them. Which is a total switch. I'm totally OK with that, I dont love movies (except documentaries/based on trues) at all and especially ones with demons or violence. He talked about protecting our hearts and keeping them for God only. I know that looks different for everyone, I am sooo joyful that this little 7 year old is thinking of protecting his heart from the things of this world!
These are my fleeting thoughts for today.......that I can get on here right now......there is a photo I want to post on my shopping for produce today; it is soooo beautiful!

Laundry

Had to post something funny that small said to me the other day. He was helping do laundry (he's 8) and said, "gosh mom, I used to think you could just throw any clothes in the washer and push start, but now I know that's not true!" Oh, my boy, you are so right; you have already learned something your father hasn't!! Small knows about using different temperatures and sorting! wooohooo; one down five to go!!!



It gets me thinking about other things we look at and watch people do; and it just seems so "easy". But when you actually do the thing, there a lot more details that you just didnt think of before. I can think of so many examples to this; discipline of children, evangelism, adoption.
More on this later, kids are needing me......not sure how I'll ever complete a thought on the blog! And seeing how it's not for one specific person, its harder to formulate my thoughts!! New territory for me....

Wow, this is amazing, I actually created a real blog! I want to blog as a way to communicate, enrich friendships, and be accountable. I have so many thoughts, ideas, etc. and I want to place to hash that out. Also want friends/family to be able to know what is going on with us!
